Journal 4

In week four, I was very nervous because I had to prepare for both my second and
third visits according to the sudden incidents of the virus that spread around the
world. A decision was made that school study will be continued online after two
weeks of vacation. Therefore, I needed to finish my visits in the fourth week, which
was our last week in schools. Thankfully, both of my observation went well based on
my MCT feedback. I believe this was because of the work on improving the areas that
needed to be improved. For example, I focused on my learning objectives while
planning for my lesson and this allowed me to prepare relevant assessments to my
learning objective to achieve them by the end of the lesson.

In addition, the duties that I carried on during this week were first, planning and
teaching lessons. Second, working on my action research that required collecting
some data and evidences such as pictures, notes and information. Moreover, the most
important thing that I learned during this week was implementing learning games to
teach vocabulary, which was linked to my action research topic. I noticed the impact
of using learning games on enhancing students' vocabulary skills and I believe this
was because students prefer learning through playing or doing something that interest
them or motivate them to learn. Therefore, in my future lessons, I will make sure to
apply at least one learning game during each lesson to encourage students to improve
their skills through doing something they enjoy.
