Personal Statement
I am currently studying Film and TV production at the University of Cumbria. I
enjoy the company of friends and colleagues. I am greatly motivated to make
the best quality content for my clients. Since I was young I have been drawn
towards the media industry from doing a media GCSEs at school to a level
three diploma at college. I started doing photography with my mother when I
was at school, I always felt a calling for it because my mother and grandfather
were photographers so I wanted to follow in their footsteps, but through
college and my first year of university I understand where I want to go in the
industry, and that pre production and equipment.

Skills
• To work as a group or individually.
• To work with more than one workload.
• Knowledge and experience on how to use editing software such as Final
Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve.
• Experience with Sound equipment, camera equipment, rigs and
knowledge of production techniques.
• I have experience with a live tv studio environment, and filming in public
areas.
• I am professional when it comes down to filming, interviews and gathering
information.
• I am happy to have responsibilities towards my role.

Work Experience
I have worked on documentary sets and film sets I have knowledge of the
industry and the jobs within.

I currently work at Sainsbury’s so I have great communication skills. I have

also worked with clients so I know how important communication is.

I have worked on a short film about dementia awareness called ‘Hide And
Seek’ and I was a camera operator, this gve me the opportunity to work close
with a director and to understand how schedules and all the roles envolved.
Teamwork was a key point of it all.
I have also worked with external clients for a short educational video about
sugar and health awareness called Sugar Smart, and it allowed me to learn
what it was like to work with a client and interview different people to move
the story across and to be apart of the final production, working to a deadline
was challenging because we needed to gather as much information as we
could working with the client and the interviewees.

I have eight GCSE’s C or above including, Maths C English C.
I also have a level three extended diploma in creative media production and
technology.
