REAL TIME HEALTH MONITORING AND TRACKING SYSTEM OF SOLDIER WITH

EMERGENCY ROBOTIC SERVICES USING IOT AND ZIGBEE.

AIM:

The basic idea behind this project is to provide first aid to the wounded soldiers in war
field.

PURPOSE:

Whenever the person is getting injured it’s very difficult to give first aid for the soldiers at
the time of war. So, to overcome the situation, this project is helpful.

DESCRIPTION:

This project is having three sections: -

 Person Section.

 Control room Section.

 Robot Section.

1. Initially in the first section, the power supply is given to all sections. A on/off button
is placed to activate the entire section. when the person is in emergency, he presses
the switch. When the switch is pressed the GPS values and the sensors values will be
uploaded into IOT and also, they are sent to the control room section through ZigBee
transceiver and the buzzer at the control room will be buzzed for 5 sec.

2. If the sensors values exceed the threshold limit then the alert will be given to the
control room without pressing the switch.

3. In both the above cases after getting the buzzer alert the command “EMERGENCY”
will be coming initially in the control room LCD Display and then after a delay it will
display the person GPS values.
4. The person at control room section can monitor the sensor reading of the person
section in IOT and he can also see the GPS values in the LCD display which is
provided in the control-section. The higher officials who are not there at the control
section can monitor the health condition of the soldier in the IOT.

5. Now, the management at the control-section will be using ZigBee transceiver to


send a robot to the person-section by using the keys provided at the control-section.
At this point the command “EMERGENCY IS ON THE WAY” will be displayed in the
LCD Display of person section.

6. Now the Robot section receives the ZigBee signal transmitted from the control-
section and it moves according to the given direction. The entire operation can be
monitored by using a WIFI camera which is installed in the robot section.

TECHNOLOGY:

GPS:

GPS (Global Positioning System) technology is used to find the location of any object or
vehicle to monitor continuously using satellite signals. Three satellite signals are necessary
to locate the receiver in 3D space and fourth satellite is used for time accuracy.GPS will give
the information of parameters like longitude, latitude and attitude. With the help of these
parameters one can easily locate the position of any object. In this GPS technology, the
communication takes place between GPS transceiver and GPS satellite.

ZIGBEE:

Zigbee is new wireless technology guided by IEEE 802.15.4 Personal Area Network
standard. It is primarily designed for the wide-ranging controlling applications and to
replace the existing non-standard technologies. It currently operates in 868MHz band at a
data rate of 20Kbps in Europe, 914MHz band at 40kbps in USA, and the 2.4GHz ISM bands
Worldwide at a maximum data-rate of 250kbps.

RESULT:
As a result, robot is able to treat the soldier by using first aid kit provided to it. By this the
exposure of medical personnel to the dangers encountered in war field can be avoided.
