Research results summary
● Present the main results of your research (from A2) in a concise list of bullet points. This must be in your own words!
● Illustrate your take-aways with imagery wherever you feel this reduces the amount of writing needed. However, don’t
add images for the sake of adding images. Cite any images that you use.
● Cite (in-text) from the sources that you found your answers from. Use the proper MLA format.
CLIENT INFORMATION By consulting sources such as, I have realized the following considerations should be
taken into account when designing and creating my product:
● I will design for Seohyun(My friend in Italy)
● She is a student so she represent the Middle school student group
● She likes grey jacket with white shirt in it. And her favorite color is green so I
think this is the kind of color padel that she will like
● She is Korean so she likes sushi, and she loves stuffed animals.
PRACTICAL SKILLS By completing the practical skills tasks, I have learned the following skills (list & explain):
● Running stitch- is probably the easiest thing of those basic skills for me, it looked
pretty good and is just back front back front so is easy for me to do and easy to
make each stitch even.
● Overstitch- I did the overstitch good because is was closed together and is tied to
it won’t open easily
● Blanket stitch-This was okay for me, not easy not hard because is hard to do the
stitch neat and in order but other than neat, it was all good, like how I stitch it and
know how to stitch it well without having it all messed up.
● Ending knot- It was hard when I first did it, but it changed when I practiced a lot
of times, to know when to overstitch again and when to close it completely,
because I did it while I watch the video, so some of the steps I didn’t fallow good,
so when I did it several times, is good.
The skills that will be useful for my project are (list & explain why):
● Running stitch- I’m gonna use running stitch when I’m attaching the
black(changing to green) strap to the main body of the sushi because the running
stitch is the easiest way to attach 2 fabrics
● Back stitch-I’m gonna use this for doing the eyes and mouth for the soft toy since
is closed together so I’d have to use something that’s closed together
● Blanket stitch -I’m gonna use this for attaching the big parts of the sushi soft toy
together.
The skills that I still need to practice or want to learn more about are (list & explain):
● button-I did this several times to get it done good, because the back of the button
was always really messed up so I did it again and again, but it finally become
okay not that messed up so I stopped doing it again
● French knot- the french knot was hard for me to do because it is really easy to
get it not in the same spot so it is all over the place which doesn't look like a
single knot anymore, but the 2nd time I did it was better than the first time.
● Backstitch- This one wasn’t that hard, but when I did it, I did so tied that the
fabric became wrinkled, and is like curved between each stitch. So I could
practice doing that
● Braid- As I said before, is untied, so the 3 strings are really easy to separate from
each other, so I could try to tie it more tied next time

Project commitment
● State what type of product you are going to develop in your project in this unit and outline the direct practical purpose
of this product.
● Outline the bigger picture purpose of the product.
● Describe the client or target audience for whom you will develop the product.
Product and Purpose In this project, I will create a soft toy that I’ve never done before, and it will be challenging
for me to make something by myself for the first time
The purpose of my product is to give this to my friend and for her to play with it to bring
happiness for her
Design Goal My product will address the design problem of -textiles being quickly sent to landfills- by
changing the jeans that I don’t need to a soft toy that can be played and sth that’s more
useful
Intended My product is intended to be used by my friend in Italy which I will give her when I go back
Target audience to visit, she likes stuffed animal so this soft toy could me good for her
Target audience representative I would describe my client as a middle school student and a person who likes stuffed
animal and you can say sometimes she is like a child but sometimes she is really adult like
which can help me in stuff
Their needs and wants for the product are something that’s green(not must, but better
with it)and she want it to be cute which I will try to do with showing it on the eyes and
mouth
