 Disassemble and assemble computer hardware

 For you to able to disassemble and assemble the computer unit identify first the
materials, tools and equipment that you use before you start
 You have to follow the “Occupational health and safety” or OHS to ensure your own
safety
 Now that you are ready, you are now able to start disassemble the computer unit

 PROCEDURES
1. Unplug the unit.
2. Remove the system unit case.
3. Remove the power supply connectors.
4. Remove the front panel connectors.
5. Remove hard drive
6. Remove the CD/DVD ROM.
7. Remove the power supply unit.
8. Remove the mother board

 Now that you are done to disassembly the system unit, assemble it with no errors.

 Create portable installer


 They are two ways to make a portable installer using your flash drive, rufus application and
command prompt.

 Command prompt
1. Run command prompt as admin.
2. Type disk part.
3. Type list disk.
4. Select disk.
5. Type clean.
6. Type create partition primary
7. Type format fs=ntfs quick
8. Assign name
9. Copy the content from ISO file
 Rufus applications
1. Click the rufus app.
2. Click the ISO image then find the ISO file operating system.
3. Click start
4. Click ready

 INSTALL THE OPERATING SYSTEM


 For your able to install an operating system
1. Configure the BIOS settings and make your bootable flash drive as “first boot priority.
2. Restart your computer.
3. Press any key.
4. Accept the license agreement.
5. Click custom
6. Create partition.
7. Click the one that has a higher volume of partition.
8. Click ok.
9. Wait until the installing is finish.
10. Install drivers.

 INSTALL NETWORK CABLES


 Before you start determine and plan first the cable route. Also the tools, equipment and testing
devices such as rj45 ,UTP cable, crimping tool, cable cutter, cable splicer and the cable tester

 Use appropriate personal protective equipment for your safety.


 T568A and T568B is the standard color coding for the network cable
 User the two different color coding if the device is the same (E.g. switch connection)
 Set network configuration
 In order to configure the network for file sharing, the following procedures are set:
1. Press the window button.
2. Click control panel.
3. Click network and sharing.
4. Click change adapter settings
5. Right click local area connection the click properties
6. Click the IPv4 then click properties
7. Click the “use following IP address to make it static
8. Type your IP address
9. Click ok and close
10. Click windows button then type firewall
11. Turn of the firewall
12. Click ok then close

 SET ROUTER/WI-FI/WIRELESS
ACCESSPOINT/REPEATER CONFIGURATION
 In order to configure router, following procedures are set:
1. Connect router to Pc using straight cable.
2. Identify router’s IP address.
3. Type the IP address on browser bar.
4. Enter router’s default username and password.
5. Select wireless tab.
6. Set your desire SSID WI-FI name.
7. Set your desire WI-FI password
8. Click Save.
9. Disable DHCP server.
10. Reboot router

 CONFIGURE WINDOWS SERVER 2008 R2


 In order to configure windows server 2008 r2, you must have to reformat your PC and
install windows server 2008 r2 standard operating system.

 The following are the procedures to configure windows server 2008 r2.
1. Configure the network.
2. Click windows button then type “dcpromo”and enter.
3. Check use advance.
4. Click next.
5. Click next.
6. Click “Create new domain” then next.
7. Type name local then click next (E.g. ancel.local)
8. Set the functional level.
9. Click next.
10. Check DNS server then click yes.
11. Click next.
12. Type your password then next.
13. Check reboot on completion then wait until the PC will restart
14. Click ctrl + alt + del to log in.

 CREATING ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT


 In order to create organizational unit the following procedures are set.
1. Click server manager domain file
2. Click roles
3. Click active directory domain file
4. Click the active directory domain folder
5. Right click name local
6. Click new
7. Choose organizational unit
8. Type name unit then click ok
9. Right click name unit
10. Click new
11. Choose group
12. Type the group name
13. Select domain local then ok
14. Right click in open space
15. Click new
16. Choose user
17. Type the username
18. Type the first name
19. Type your password
20. Uncheck user must
21. Check password never expires and password neve changes
22. Confirm

 GROUP POLICY OBJECT


 In order to create group policy object the following procedures are set:
1. In drive D create a folder
2. Share file
3. Choose every one
4. Click add
5. Choose read/write
6. Copy the root path
7. Click windows button
8. Click administrator tools
9. Click group policy management
10. Right click name local
11. Click create GPO
12. Type user name GPO
13. Right click then click edit
14. Click user configuration
15. Click policies
16. Click windows settings
17. Click folder redirection
18. Right click document then properties
19. Click basic
20. Paste the root path
21. Click settings
22. Uncheck grant user
23. Click apply yes then ok
