1.0 Objective

The purpose of this method statement is to define the minimum requirements for establish a
site office, rest area for workforce,laydown area and surveying all together at Temporary works
of SEPCO-III, AL Taweela

2.0 Scope
 Establish a site office
 Estabilish workers rest area
 Estabilish Toilet facilities with containtment tank for the work force
 Estabilish power connection for DG
 Estabilish Temporary Water Storage tanks
 Estabilish storage area for materials and equipments
 Maintanence of the facilities
 Carryout out survey works

3.0 Standards and specifications

All works covered by this method statement will be carried out in accordance with the relevant
sections of the following standards and specifications:
 Client safety guidelines
 Approved JSA

4.0 Safety

Personnel
All personnel involved in the operations described by this method statement will have received
safety induction training and the job specific training required for the particular operation in
which they will participate.

5.0 Trades and disciplines involved


 Engineer
 Supervisor
 HSE Officer
 Surveyor
 Carpenters
 Steel fixer
 Mason
 Painter
 Rigger
 Plumber
 Electrician
 Helpers
 Drivers & Operators

 All workers shall be competent for their relative task and undergo site related HSE
training as per the training matrix.
 Performing work at the work place in a safe manner for themselves and other employees
 Reporting any unsafe work to Supervisor or Foreman or Safety Officer as and when
noticed.
 Reporting near-misses and incidents as and when it occurs.
 Attend the briefing of JSA before commencement of work.

Working Hours: 07.00 AM to 12.30 Hrs. and 13.00 PM to 1700 Hrs**


**Timing subjected to change as per the work requirements.

6.0 Equipments

The following equipment’s or similar (depending upon site requirement) will be used for the
above works.

All the above tools or equipment will be operated by skilled and trained technicians, and its smooth
functioning may be ensured by assigned Alucor Maintenance department.

7.0 Methodology for establishment of yard


All the personnel will attend the safety induction training program conducted by SEPCO prior to
any site activity.

7.1 Work permit will be obtained from SEPCO before starting any activity.

 Permit to be taken prior to start any activity


 The area of construction shall be identified and marked
 Access for all operational areas to provide.
 To conduct basement preparation on basis of field survey results.
 To install necessary facilities as per drawing submitted by Alucor.
 To energies the facility through electricity, internet, water supply, etc and its
maintenance as per approved HSE plan.
 To dismantle the facility after completion of project.
 To obtain site clearance certificate from ALUCOR/SEPCO and demobilize.

7.2 Entire establishments will divide into three parts and are as follows.
As marked in Drawing

a) Site office.
b) Rest area for work force
c) Lay down area.
d) Surveying

 Before starting any activity official intimation will pass through SEPCO-III.
 Up on approval of MS, JSA & proposed drawings site survey will conduct.
 Depends up on survey result necessary soil grading, reinforcement /compaction etc will
carry out if necessary.
 While establish the facility, safe access, and provision for future expansion will consider
in account.
 Existing entire barricaded area will be used for mobilization which is shown in the
attached drawing.

 For energizing the facility Alucor will install and maintain a 150 KVA power DG . While
considering additional safety point of view DG exhaust must be equipped with spark
arrestor and DG may place over a drip tray for prevent any kind of unexpected spillage
to surrounding.
 Site office intended for accommodate entire staff during office hours.
 Site office may be prefabricated from portacabins and it will transfer to site through
trailer.
 Office containers will rested on prefabricated RCC blocks/ Blocks and will arrange in a
most efficient manner.
 Office facility will equipped with toilet facilities, drinking water, portable water
connections etc with project store. Toilet containtment tank shall be periodically emptied
by Alucor sewage tank/approved contractor.
 Proper housekeeping and waste management will maintained as per HSE plan.
 There will be sufficient fire extinguishers wherever it required.
 Proper earthing and MCB, ELCB and other safety measures will be installed wherever
required.
 Lifting plan shall be prepared/ approved prior to lifting activity.
 Pressurized cylinders will be kept in the designated shaded area with proper chain
arrangement for avoiding the falls.
 Rest room for work force may be portacabin and same will used as rest room and dining
space.
 Lay down area intended for storage of materials and other equipments
 It shall be open space and there will be always all kind of vehicle access for its smooth
functioning.
 Surveying and setting out for proposed areas like warehouse,GMD Storage area,Precast
yard,scrap/electrical storage area,truck parking area and insulation material storage
area.
 After completion of site clearance for above mentioned area ALUCOR may obtain
clearance certificate from SEPCO-III if necessary.
 On completion of the project the site shall be demobilized with the removal of all the
installed infrastructure and equipment. The site shall be re-instated /restored to its
original condition and shall obtain required Clearance.
