Dear Sir/Madam,

I am Nofal Aghayarli, the student of French-Azerbaijani University, in the study program of

Petroleum Engineering. I am writing this motivation letter to express my motivation and ambition to
apply for the Erasmus+ student exchange program at your university. I would love to study my next
semester at the University of Strasbourg in France.

During my tuition at university in Azerbaijan, I and my team won "ActInSpace" Azerbaijan 2018 and
successfully represented our country in the International Final in Toulouse, France among 34 countries.
Also, we got the final stages in three different international competitions. Moreover, we have worked
with “E&Y” (Ernst and Young) and “Azercosmos” for our projects. Additionally, I have collected 627
points out of 700 in the admission exam of SEC (State Exam Center (also called TQDK)) and I have
graduated from the school with straight "A"s. I have been very keen on the physical sciences and
learning new languages. Especially throughout my school and university years, I have actively taken part
in some intellectual competitions as well. What is more, in my 2nd year I was engaged with volunteering
work primarily focused on promoting awareness of different fields of engineering and studying in
France accordingly with the support of Caspian Engineers Society and Campus France Azerbaijan. More,
at the end of the second year I got the chance to be a participant of Strasbourg Summer School but
because of some personal problems I had to decline it.

Moreover, I applied for the Erasmus+ program a year ago and had a chance to do it at Klaipeda
University. Based on my experiences in Lithuania as an Erasmus student, I could say with enough
confidence that the opportunity of having unfamiliar environment for a non-European student can be a
turning point in his life and career. To have an opportunity to meet new people from all over the world,
to be able to see the diversities and being able to perceive the differences of the teaching methods.
These are all can be considered as an essential aims and factors of the Erasmus+ program itself. Despite
the fact that I could only have a chance to do it for one semester, I could say that I had learned and
achieved a lot.

Therefore, I wish to have a second chance, in some sense to enrich my previous experiences with the
hope of bringing some valuable ideas back home. I believe that after studying at the University of
Strasbourg in France I will be able to think more logically and come to conclusions , find solutions in
difficult or challenging contexts , plan and carry out my knowledge independently, develop an idea and
put it into practice, see the value of different cultures, plan and organize tasks and activities, express
myself creatively, be more confident to my abilities, be more able to adapt and act in new situations, be
more tolerant towards other people's values and behavior, be more open-minded and curious about
new challenges.

Furthermore, there are some crucial reasons that trigger me to study at the UNISTRA such as: mastering
French language genuinely, adapting to Strasbourg since I want to pursue my master degree there too,
getting the chance to practice laboratory works at one of most equipped labs of France and being able
to take entire syllabus from the professors of UNISTRA which unfortunately here in Azerbaijan lasts for 1
week or so and from which I can easily understand the true capacity of this study program.

The experience that I could gain by studying in France would be valuable for both my studies and
personal development. So, I am ready and willing to take on new challenges. As a true believer of
the process of globalization of the world, I find education one of those immensely powerful ways of
spreading the positive ideas and hope of living together in a more peaceful world. With the power of
sciences and education we can make the world better place for us and for the next generations. I would
like to thank you for dedicating your time to consider my application. I am looking forward to hearing
from you soon and taking part in the further stages of the selection process.

Sincerely,
Nofal Aghayarli
