Expository Reflection: What is rhetoric?

Many people argue that rhetoric is a negative topic, especially

when it comes to political rhetoric. According to the attached video, it

claims that rhetoric is to use your critical thinking, meaning to think in a

clear way and to use your logic or your judgement beliefs. Rhetoric, is

composed of five important elements that we use frequently without

knowing, such as ethical behavior, persuasion, audience, language, and

composition (Podcast #1). We use these elements when we are

approaching arguments and understanding by forming a belief (The

Audiopedia). According, to these sources from different places we can

come to the conclusion that rhetoric is a way of writing or speaking to

persuade or make an agreement by using your critical thinking.
