Q2 A slope inclined at 1V: 1.5H as shown in Figure Q2 and data for each slice is tabulated in
Table Q5. Using Bishop’s simplified method, prove that the factor of safety of the slope
is 1.70, assuming the soil above the phreatic surface to be saturated and unit weight of
