HR Systems Analyst

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager, HR Programs, the HR Systems Analyst will provide support of our HR and
Payroll systems, applications and processes, functioning as the liaison between HR, Payroll, and a variety
of internal and external vendors.

The HR Systems Analyst will review, analyze and evaluate HR and Payroll business processes, existing
systems, user needs and technology opportunities to recommend either purchased or in-house developed
solutions, developing detailed requirement documents to support the review and analysis of
recommendations. During implementation/upgrades/enhancements, they will conduct requirement
gathering and analysis, testing plans, system documentation, training materials and communications to
ensure that business requirements are met.

Experience
 Post-secondary education, preferably in HR and/or IT discipline
 3 to 5 years specializing in HR Information Systems experience, configuring and supporting HR
and Payroll technology systems, preferably Ceridian Dayforce, including troubleshooting,
debugging, testing and deployment of solutions and modules
 Ceridian Dayforce experience an asset
 3 to 5 years of project management experience
 1 to 2 years of process mapping experience or certification is an asset
 Experience with reporting tools
 Good functional understanding of core HR and Payroll business terminology, processes and
practices
 Professionalism and excellent consultative approach in working directly with internal clients,
delivering excellent customer service
 Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, macros and complex formulas), and other
MS applications (Visio, PowerPoint, Access and Word.)
 Excellent analytical and technical skills with a high attention to detail; demonstrated strength in
problem-solving and multi-tasking
 Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, to build strong partnerships with
key internal organizations and stakeholders.
 Self-motivated and organized with a well-developed sense of time, projects and priority
management
 Strong customer service focus with demonstrated skills in supporting users to assist in addressing issues

and concerns
 Must be a team player with a positive attitude and an eagerness to learn
 Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team and work effectively with a geographically
dispersed group
