The purpose of this method statement is to ensure a detailed control of the application of clad sheeting
as per Site requirement.

2.0 SCOPE

The scope is to apply clad sheeting, on cooling tower sides as per site requirement.

3.0 DEFINITION

 COMPANY Qstec Operating Company Ltd.

4.0 WORK PERMIT

5.1 All permits related to the job shall be obtained from COMPANY prior to the site execution of the
job.

5.2 All equipment will be inspected by Client.

5.0 RESPONSIBLITIES

6.1 The site in-charge shall be responsible for ensuring the correct application of this procedure
6.2 The supervisor shall be responsible for overall implementation of this procedure
6.3 Insulators/fitters shall be qualified/trained tradesmen. The personnel shall have relevant
knowledge of insulation, staggering joints, cladding, sealing of joints, use of protective
equipment
6.4 The supervisor shall be responsible for confirming the insulation type, extent and achieving the
stage acceptance of the quality control inspection.

6.0 PROCEDURE
6.1 Access

6.1.1 All Work will be carried out within the Qstec area. When Work is carried out in
Elevated Location safe access will be provided.

6.1.4 All access will be kept tidy and free from obstruction at all times.

6.2 Environmental Production

7.2.1 All workers will be Callide out under dry and atmospherically correct condition materials will be

7.2.2 It will be mandatory for all personnel to keep all work area clean continuously throughout the

7.2.3 Spillage of all materials will be cleaned immediately to prevent wind borne debris throughout the

7.2.4 During adverse weather all insulation work will be protect. Insulation material shall at all times be

6.2.5 during wet weather conditions, insulation shall be covered at all time with temporary polyethylene

6.5 Sheet metal fabrication by CNC machine

6.5.1 The metal sheet shall be manually loaded in CNC machine and should be fixed tightly.
6.5.2 The cutting plan/program shall prepared for all material before commencement for fabrication
work
6.5.3 The fabrication program shall be set by certified CNC operator for required fabrication.
6.5.4 Punching and grooving shall be done accurately as per the drawings and burrs removed
effectively.
6.5.5 Sheet metal fabrication shall take place within INECO fabrication yard out site RLIC permission
and the fabricate components shifted to site as at when required.

6.6 Installation of cladding

7.6.4 Cladding sheets shall be applied on the required sides of cooling tower, after installation.

7.6.5 After installation sealing of over lapped areas, and no gaps shall be permitted.

7.6.6 Supervisors to make sure smooth finishing.

7.0 TOOLS & EQUIPMENT

7.1 Execution

7.2 Safety

 Nomex coverall
 Safety helmet

 Safety hand gloves (As per task)
 Ear plug / muffs
 Dust mask (insulator)

8.0 SAFETY INSTRUCTION

 All necessary work permit shall be secured prior to any activates and the conditions mentioned
on it will be fulfilled thoroughly.
 All required work permits and documents will be acquired and kept available at respective work
sites in permits boxes.
 All activities to be immediately suspended in case of any emergency.
 Evacuate work area in a safe manner as per emergence evacuation procedure. Work is to
restart upon receipt of approval from company and when PTW has been revalidated.

 All personal involved will be use necessary PPE’s.


 The worker will be made aware of safety requirement related to this activity through daily task
instruction JSA.
 Remove all necessary metals from the area.
 Access and good housekeeping should be maintained at all the time.
 All activities at height should be provided with suitable working platform.
 When working at height proper fall protection, 100% tie off shall be applied in case of falling
hazard
 Remove all metals and tools from the site after completion of job.
 Proper housekeeping will be carried out after completion of work.
