LESSON PLAN IN T.L.E.

– EXPLORATORY DRAFTING
Week 7: March 9 – 13, 2020

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of 60-minute lesson, the students are expected to:
a. Identify different drafting tools,
b. perform the given drafting tools, and
c. appreciate the importance of using different drafting tools.

II. SUBJECT MATTER


Topic: Exploratory Drafting
Sub-topic: Drafting Tools
Materials needed:Visual aids, chalk and board, powerpoint, laptop, handouts

A. Preparatory Activities

B. Developmental Activities
Review of Past Lesson: Drafting
Ask the students what they have learned about the topic yesterday.
C. Lesson Proper
1. Motivation
Show different drafting tools to the students. Students will guess what are those
tools and how to use them.
2. Presentation of the Lesson

Day 1

Lecture: Discuss most common drafting tools. Give example and explain its
usage.

Day 2

Demonstration: Show the correct usage of some of the drafting tools such as
drawing board, drawing paper, tape, ruler, triangle, French curve, protractor,
compass, T-square, and pencil.
3. Application
Group work
Students will be divided into 3 groups. They will present how to perform the
following tools in creative way:
Drawing board, drawing paper, tape, ruler, triangle, French curve, protractor,
compass, T-square, and pencil.
They will be given the remaining time for the class to prepare and polish their
presentation.

Day 3

The students will be given 10 minutes to finalize their presentation.

RUBRIC

EXCELLENT – 20 PTS
- Task is done creatively.
- All members of the group participated.
- All of the given drafting tools was presented and performed accordingly.
GOOD – 15 PTS
- Task is done.
- Most of the members of the group participated.
- Most of the given drafting tools was presented and performed accordingly.
NEEDS IMPROVEMENT – 10 PTS
- Task is done unprolifically.
- Most members of the group did not participate.
- Most of the given drafting tools was not presented and performed accordingly.

Day 4

4. Generalization
Ask the students what they have learned from the discussion and activity.
Ask the students about the importance of various drafting tools and why is it
important to know them.
Ask them what part of lesson that needs clarification.
