– EXPLORATORY DRAFTING
Week 6: March 2 – 6, 2020
I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of 60-minute lesson, the students are expected to:
a. Define drafting,
b. draw according to the three drafting views, and
c. value the importance of knowing about drafting.
Day 1
Lecture: Discuss the various views in drafting – plan view, section view, and
elevation. Students will take notes about the discussion.
Day 2
Day 3
Lecture: Discuss the skills needed for drafting – accuracy, speed, and legibility.
Elaborate why we do working drawings.
Day 4
3. Application
Recitation
Some students will be called to define drafting based on their own understanding
and based on what they have learned .
4. Generalization
Ask the students about the value of knowing drafting.
Ask them what part of lesson that needs clarification.
Day 4
IV. EVALUATION
Individual work. In T.L.E. portfolio, draw at least one image per drafting
view/perspective.
RUBRIC
EXCELLENT – 20 PTS
- Task is done creatively.
- Prolifically drawn at least one image per drafting view/perspective.
- Neatly done and no erasures.
GOOD – 15 PTS
- Task is done.
- Drawn at least one image per drafting view/perspective.
- Done with only few erasures.
NEEDS IMPROVEMENT – 10 PTS
- Task is done unprolifically.
- Not all drafting views/perspective were drawn.
- Many erasures.
