A Treatment for a Music Video

TheDooo - Hallelujah

Prepared by Lizzie Hayes

TREATMENT

1ST Act – Opening Scene starts with the main character being woken by an alarm; the
character is shown in the left-hand side of the shot also signifying the set of location. As the
alarms wakes the main character which focusses on phone which has the alarm going off,
with the character gathering composure whilst waking up attempting to get ready by
placing on props and starting the music. The shot shows the character sitting up and getting
ready whilst placing on the props and turning on the music with the phone and leaving the
room.

2nd Act – The following scenes are a collection of the footage, we travel back before the
crisis to show the normality of the world such as playing games with friends, reading a book,
drawing and going for a walk to visit family members I hope to use many different shots
such as moving shots and standing shots. As the scene develops, we time is welcomed back
to back to during the crisis by going through time is shown to be going past which is shown
by the calendar that flips through. As the time passes the main character becomes more
concerned with day to day life and contains the feeling of being trapped, not being able to
escape from the captivity of the crisis. I will show this be the main character trying to escape
multiple times using different types of costumes and repeating attempts to escape to the
outside world such as different types of shots, long shots, close up shots and establishing
shots.

3rd Act – After trying multiple times to escape through the door and feeling more like it is
impossible to escape from the confinements of the main characters home, however
coincidently forcing the door to open is not the answer, the main character soon hits a wall
as there seems no way to return back to the normality of the world and gives hope, but as
all hope seems to be lost the door is released from it’s hatches and the main character is
allowed to return back to normal and the worlds crisis is assumed to be over.
