Editor’s Note

Writing is easy, but touching the heart and attracting the attention of the readers through writing was
never an easy task. Yes, it is not an easy task, because we always think, on how we will satisfy our
readers, how can we provide them a great story, poem, letter and more to make them stay and read the
rest of it. We face many revisions, sleepless nights and different problems at home, but one thing for
sure is, the writers are doing their very best to give the readers a very satisfying one.

And of course, we came to our title “Baliktanaw” a taglog word which means looking back to all the
things that are happening in life. Because nowadays, people tend to look back to all the happenings in
their lives, because it is a very important thing that serves as their weapon, why they’ve become a
successful one, even though if this event in their lives break them. Yes, that is life, breaking us, to
become stronger.

Life is very unpredictable, today we are happy, but all of the sudden all the things that makes us happy,
will somehow break us. But let us be reminded about life, that we should not just focus on things that
makes us sad, but let’s be focus to all the lesson that life bring us. Even if there are many struggles that
comes to our life, still we find a reason to never give up, move forward and accept it as a challenge to
make us a better person.

In life, there is no shortcut to success. We become successful because of every failure that we had in our
life. And living a life with many of obstacles is testing us on how we will handle it, should we stay and
accept it? Or walk away and give up? The choice is within us.
