ACTIVITY 3: Self-Reflect

1. Is the Teacher’s life a series of planning, implementing, and evaluating?

Yes, the teacher’s life is a series of planning, implementing, and

evaluating, before he/she will go to school and when going home. Teachers are always
in a continuous state of preparation and planning, they are always thinking about how
they will produce a good teaching-learning process to their students. Teachers already
made a plan of what will be the flow of his/her discussion in the classroom, aside from
planning the topic, he/she will select the appropriate medium to be used, if the current
lesson has a connection to the past lesson and what will be his/her methods and
techniques he/she will be using for his/her students to learn more, because students
have their own way of learning, needs to be addressed. Also, he/she practice the
activities to ensure that each works correctly and by that the lesson will tend to flow
more smoothly because all the information has been gathered and the details have
been decided upon beforehand. As we believe, a teacher with a plan, then, is more
confident teacher, because he/she is clear on what needs to be done, how and when.
And a teacher is not just a planner, but also an implementer, just like our
mother, our teachers always chooses to have good education for her children, that they
don’t deliver their lesson just as it is, rather they want us to be globally competitive and
be a good person. So on the first day of the school the teacher must implement his/her
rule in the classroom during the discussion and the student should follow it. If they did
not follow the teacher’s rule, there will be a consequence of the wrongful action they do.
Also, the teacher must know how to implement the plan and examine the plan that
he/she want to implement if it’s for the benefit of everybody.
Also the teacher must need to evaluate the learning of the students. In
order to evaluate the learning of his/her the students, he/she should give a test or
exams, in order to measure the learning of the student, if they learn something or they
need more deep explanation. As well as a teacher we need also to evaluate our self in
order to know if we are effective teacher.
Therefore, being a teacher doesn’t end in giving the lessons, checking our
requirements like the portfolio’s, projects and journals but the true meaning of a teacher
is producing not only a globally competitive but inculcated good values in our hearts not
only to be good but better individuals of the society. Also it is proven and tested that our
teachers will do everything for us to understand and learn things because if we don’t
really understand it, he/she will repeat his/her lessons and give a real-life examples until
we get it.
