INTRODUCTION
This portfolio contains a brief overview of “The Best Fit Teen Challenge”, conducted by the
class of 2017 as their class project for physical education. The fitness challenge was the first ever
to be hosted on St. Rose’s High School grounds and hopefully it would not be the last.

REPORT
The planning of the tournament was done at meetings. The first official meeting was called on
May 12th, 2016, where the fitness challenge was agreed upon as the activity the class would be
doing for their Physical Education SBA. The fitness challenge gained priority over the volleyball
tournament since it was the first ever of its kind that will be hosted in the school. The date of the
event was also formulated. Flyers were made to inform the school about the event and to capture
On May 16th, 2016, another meeting was held for the senior officials where the roles were
assigned and sponsors of the event were contacted. The budget was also agreed upon. Donors of
the prizes, food and beverages for the participants were also contacted during this meeting.
On May 21st, 2016, the event was officially known as “The Best Fit Teen Challenge”. The colors
of the various roles were also decided upon. Event Officials had to wear red t-shirts. A

Each student was expected to arrive at 6:00am sharp on July 1st, 2016 to assist in preparing for
the tournament. Students partook in a cleaning of the school’s environs where the tournament
was to be kept. After cleaning, the equipment for the tournament was set up.
The students then reported to the Physical Education Department where badges were distributed
and they were reminded of the role they were to play during the tournament. The officials of the
tournament then changed into their respective attire and reported to the back where the
tournament was to be held. The drinks and refreshments for the participants were set up.
The tournament began at 10:30am. Prayers were said and the pledges of both schools and the

GENERAL REFLECTIONS
This project was a great success, however, time management was a grave issue. The tournament
did not only begin late, but ended late also. This issue caused an entire round of events to be
cancelled. Also, the field judges were not so clear as to what they were expected to do. They
moved in a slow manner, which often caused strain on the table judges.
9
CONCLUSION
This event was both fun-filled and enjoyable. It was a new experience and a lot of knowledge
was gained on how to plan and carry out a physical education activity.
