OBJECTIVES:

The objectives of this experiment is to find out what will happen to the balloon when vinegar and baking
soda is combined. It also aims to find out the relationship of the baking soda and vinegar as the amount
of vinegar increases.

MATERIALS:

 Baking soda
 Vinegar
 Bottle with a narrow neck
 Teaspoon
 Small balloon

PROCEDURE:

Add a teaspoon of baking soda inside the balloon and teaspoons of vinegar inside the bottle with a
narrow neck. Place the balloon at the lip of the bottle. Then turn the balloon over for the baking soda to
fall down the bottle, shake it and wait for it to inflate.

CONCLUSION:

I conclude that the chemical reaction that is taking place between the two substances produced carbon
dioxide which caused the balloon to inflate, the more amount of vinegar added the more bigger the
balloon gets.
