Greetings parents and students of the 7th and 8th grade. My name is Mr. Spagnoli and I wanted
to formally introduce myself. I have already had the opportunity to meet the 7th and 8th grade
students and I am genuinely looking forward to getting to know you all better over the course
of the 2019-2020 school year! I will be spending the year as a co-teacher in Mr. Bentz’s science
classroom as a Philadelphia Teacher Resident.

I attended public school in northeast Pennsylvania (Athens Area School District – Go Wildcats!)
and I received my undergraduate degree in theatre and communications at Mansfield
University of Pennsylvania. I worked in the non-profit sector in Los Angeles for five years,
primarily with the Boy Scouts of America. I received my Master’s in Urban Planning from the
University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee before moving to Philadelphia to work for an
environmental non-profit.

I have two children who attend school at C.W. Henry in Mt. Airy, where we live. In my free time
I enjoy photography, yoga, and spending time outdoors (sometimes while doing photography
or yoga). I look forward to sharing my depth of knowledge and experience in environmental
science with the Greenfield community this year.

If there is any way I can assist your student in learning this year, please feel free to reach out to
me. I look forward to meeting you at Back to School Night on September 17th.

Best wishes and have a great school year!

Mr. Spagnoli
