Subject: Request for Reconsideration

Dear Sr. Loi,

I trust all is well with you and all the other sisters.

Today, I was informed by Ms. Daisy of our HR that my salary covering the period of March 16 until
March 31st is “on hold” or will not be released together with the salaries of the other faculty members
tomorrow. I am also told that this action is based on my resignation which I submitted earlier and that
because of this, I need to satisfy certain documentation requirements for my clearance.

I am appealing for a reconsideration of this HR action because during this COVID 19 pandemic, my family
and I really need the money to buy our food and medication needs. My family is relying on my salary to
supplement the meager savings of my parents since they have been deprived, due to the mandatory
quarantine, of their regular daily income. We cannot borrow from relatives and friends since they are all
holding on to their cash for their own needs and supplies.

I can accomplish the documentation requirements due to my resignation once our situation is
normalized. I would also like to request that instead of withholding my March 16-31 st salary tomorrow,
HR can hold my separation pay, unused vacation leave commutable to cash and such other monetary
benefits that I may be entitled to.

During the past days and even for the coming days, I am and will still be coordinating with my students
for their take-home final examinations and submitting these to their respective subject teachers. Please
be assured that I am still doing my part as teacher and class adviser.

I pray and hope for your granting of my request for reconsideration as it will help me and my family to
survive during this pandemic.
