s a member of the Vecellio Group, our foundation for success dates back to 1900,
when young Enrico Vecellio began contracting in southern West Virginia. He
entered the emerging road-building industry and built several thriving businesses,
establishing a reputation for quality and integrity that has endured for generations.

Enrico’s son, Leo Vecellio, grew up in the family business. After returning from college and
the Army, Leo also became a licensed contractor. In 1938 Enrico, Leo, and his brother-
in-law Gene Grogan founded Vecellio & Grogan, the flagship company of the Vecellio
Group, providing heavy/highway construction in the mid-Atlantic states and beyond.

hite Rock Quarries is one of Florida’s

leading limestone producers and one
of the nation’s top-producing quarries.
Located in northwest Miami-Dade County,
White Rock was built from the ground up
with high-volume production in mind, from
mining, crushing and processing, to loading
and ticketing customers’ trucks. Quality control
is assured through extensive daily laboratory
testing and continuous monitoring of all
production operations.

is a vital component of the construction industry, used
to make ready-mix concrete, concrete blocks and pipes,

T he Vecellio Group plays a vital role in environmental reclamation, as well as

restoring mined properties to their original, and in many cases, even improved
condition.

Additionally, we reclaim and recycle several hundred thousand tons of pavement

materials each year at our asphalt plants, helping to preserve our country’s resources.
This is illustrated in the photos at left: 1) Prior to resurfacing, roadways are typically
1 milled to avoid excessive buildup. 2) Millings are brought to our portable recycling
plant. 3) Milled asphalt and recovered concrete materials are readied for crushing.
4) Materials are loaded into the portable crushing plant. 5) Recycled aggregate
emerges ready for re-use in D.O.T.-approved asphalt mixes.
