2019 NUTRITION MONTH CELEBRATION

Narrative Report

In connection with the 2019 Nutrition Month Celebration, our school conducted
different activities to show to our pupils the importance of good health and eating habits. This
year’s theme is “ Kumain nang wasto at maging aktibo…push natin ‘to!”.

On July 5, 2019, we conducted Slogan Making Contest whereas the participants were
pupils of Grade Three, Four and Six. The said contest was judged and checked by the
intermediate teachers. They chose three ranks from each of the said grade level. The first
placers from each grade level were competed to be the overall champion. The Coloring contest
was assigned to Kindergarten pupils and selected three best works and declared as winners.

On July 12, 2019, Nutrition Quiz Bee was held. The participants were three pupils from
each Grade level. Classroom advisers of each grade were the ones who had given the test for
their pupils and selected three highest ranks as winners.

On July 19, 2019, Lakad Nutrition was done. All pupils together with their parents and
advisers joined the parade in the celebration of Nutrition Month. Each grade prepared a slogan
to showcase the aim of the celebration. Others brought some fruits and vegetables to show the
importance of eating healthy foods.

On the last Friday of the month, July 26, 2019, a cooking competition was held. The contest was
performed by the Grade Five and Grade Six pupils. Each grade level had three groups. New menus had
presented by each group. All pupils showed their talent in cooking nutritious foods. The contest was
judged and checked by the following: Mrs. Marjorie C. Sigua, FPTA President; Mr. Pedrito Sigua, active
parent from the community; and Mr. Richard P. Sta Ines, Brgy. Health Committee.

After the Cooking Competition, a simple program was held. All the winners from Slogan Making,
Coloring, Nutrition Quiz Bee and Cooking Contest were awarded with cash, ribbons, medals and
certificates and the overall champion in cooking contest received a trophy.

The celebration of the Nutrition Month was done smoothly.
