Sharing a Zoom Recording

Upon completion of your recording, Zoom will automatically save an MP4 (video file) of your recorded
session under My Documents> Zoom folder. Recordings will be organized in folders by creation date.

Faculty can share zoom recordings using Talent by Torsh, a video repository software available through
Blackboard. Follow the steps below to upload and share your Zoom recordings with others.

STEP 1: ACTIVATE YOUR TORSH ACCOUNT IN BLACKBOARD

• Navigate to your Blackboard Course Site, select the Talent by Torsh link in the left hand course
menu. If Torsh is not available, refer to the Adding Talent by Torsh guide.
o By default, this menu item is hidden from students in the f2f template. You do not need
to make the link visible unless you are using the application with your class.
• From the Talent by Torsh content page, select the Launch TORSH Talent link

• After a brief pause, you will be signed into your Talent by Torsh account.
• If this is your first time using Torsh, you will be prompted to create a password for web and
mobile app use. Take note of your password, as it is different than your JHED log-in.

STEP 2: UPLOAD YOUR VIDEO TO TORSH

• In Torsh, navigate above the menu bar and choose the Upload button.
• In the Upload Files window, verify My Computer is selected in the left pane and then click
the Choose Files button.

• Browse to Documents> Zoom folder and select the date of your recording. Choose the MP4
video file in the folder, and then click Open. Click Upload to confirm your selection.

Tip: Before selecting the video, rename the file by right-clicking on the title with your mouse
and then choosing Rename from the short-cut menu. Type a new name (ex:
June25_Lecture) and then press the Enter key to save.

STEP 3: ACCESS AND SHARE YOUR VIDEO

Once the video has been uploaded, you add it to your Blackboard site by obtaining the embed code.

• Select Videos & Files from the top menu bar to view your uploaded videos.

• Next, hover your mouse over the thumbnail of the video and select the gear icon; choose Get
Embed Code from the menu (see screen shot below).
• A warning message will display, select the Get Embed Code button again.
About the warning message: Videos in Torsh are private by default, but can be shared
with anyone by posting the embed code. You will place the embed code in your
Blackboard course, making it visible to students enrolled in your class only.

• In the Video Embed Code window, highlight the displayed code and then copy to your
clipboard, either by right-clicking your mouse and choosing copy or pressing the Ctrl + C keys on
the keyboard. Click Done.
