footing unit weight is 18.85kn/m3. A surcharge of 4.8kpa results from the slab on the grade fc’=20.7mpa
fy=415mpa. Base at the footing is at 2.13m below the grade. Assume thickness of footing to be 875mm.
Normal weight of concrete and use 75mm as steel covering.

1. Determine the dimension of the rectangular combined footing and check for shear strength.
