Class- IX E CARNATIONS
House- Carnations
We stand in the twentieth century, with latest phones in our hands and big cars at
our homes. In today’s modern era, has anybody even cared for our environment?
That environment which gave us a place to live, food to eat and showed us divine
creatures.
Health is the priority in a person’s life. People spend hundreds and thousands n
hospital bills, to keep healthy and live more. The amount of diseases and
infections in the world aren’t much less that we add more to them. Just like
humans even the environment’s health is slowly and gradually degrading due to
poisonous gases, smoke, vapours, oil spills and what not.
The world is full of happiness, with natural sceneries like mountains, lagoons,
flowers, animals, insects and birds. Don’t we want to share this glory with our
generations to come?
One such effective way to save our environment as well as our health is to control
our fuel usage. We can achieve this aim by walking short distances that’ll keep us
fit. Carpooling and using our cars to the minimum. An average man consumes
upto 100,000 liters of fuel in his lifetime which results to huge amounts of smoke,
oil vapours adds to global warming. More depletion in the ozone layers will allow
more UV rays to reach in, which then surely make all creatures sick. The use of
heavy machinery, construction areas, vehicles should be reduced to minimum.
Natural fuels like CNG should be used. People who can afford eco-friendly care
run on fuels like water and gas should use them. Roads should have a different
lane, just for cycles. The current scenario is that people aren’t aware of these
happenings and thus, awareness camps should be run. The odd-even scheme is a
good initiative by our government. It is the need of the hour, to save our future,
our environments and most importantly, our health. Let’s pitch in and determine,
and nothing shall beat us. Human’s cannot be so stone-hearted. In the end, I
would like to say-
Save fuel for better environment because if you don’t start now, the future is
going to be dreadful.
‘A stich in time saves nine.’ Now it is you to decide, to live life like the grasshopper
or to enjoy the glory of our environment.
