-With books open ask students what they can remember about Professor and his robot

• Play the recording for students to listen to and follow the words in their books.
• Ask the gist question What has Chip done?
• Play the recording a second time. Ask more questions to check comprehension, e.g.
What machine has Chip used? What has 'he done in the garden? Is Professor pleased?
• In pairs, ask students to take the parts of Professor and Chip.
3 Complete the sentences. Use the present perfect or past simple.
• Look at the example and explain that they have to complete the sentences with the
present perfect or past simple form of the verb in brackets.
• Remind students to go to Workbook page 119 and check the past simple and past
participle forms of these verbs.
