Forum = E hailing and Taxi.

Yeop : Assalamualaikum and good morning to everyone. My name is Abdul Yeop and I will be the
moderator for today’s forum which entitled “e-Hailing and Taxi; which one is better?” Here we have
with us today are Datin Nur Syazni Binti Md Noor, the CEO of the taxi community in Malaysia, Datin
Aina Humaira Binti Rostam, the CEO of the e-hailing community, Dr Akmal Haziq Bin Ahmad Aizam,
an accounting lecturer from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and YB Tuan Haji Abdul Muhaimin Bin
Tajaluddin, the Minister of Transportation Malaysia. Transportation is a major factor in influencing
our daily lives to become more efficient and productive. The taxi had become the favourite of people
in choosing public transportation because it personally brings us to the exact location of our
destination. Taxi has monopolized public transport from door to door for a long time ago until a
company providing the same service known as the e-Hailing entered the market recently. E-hailing is
a term to describe booking rides and paying for car service through a smartphone app with a
transportation network company (TNC) such as Grab, MyCar and others. In recent years, e-hailing
services have become popular around the world. This model relies on the widespread use of mobile
devices, ie:smartphones, which connect private car owners with passengers through mobile phone
software. It was welcomed by many people. The emergence of ehailing has changed people's single
way of travel; booking a car in advance and choosing a destination through mobile phone software
has dramatically saved time and facilitated people's journey. So my first question is for Datin Syazni.
As an owner of the taxi community in Malaysia, how would you describe the taxi community
nowadays?

Nini : intro taxi (taxi ni dulu org duk pkai, dh berapa lama digunakan)

Yeop : thankyou for explanation,I agreed with you opinion. *Pastu elaborate pasal points nini* so I
want to ask my next question to the owner of e hailing community which is Datin Aina. So how do
you describe about e hailing in Malaysia?

Aina : intro e hailing (bila Malaysia start ada, TNC)

Yeop : explain. So min, as a minister

Min : explain pasal taxi and grab (laws, statistic (accidents bla bla bla), procedure)

Yeop : explain

Akmal : as everyone knew, public transportation
