Movie Review …

"Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn".This dialogue by

Clark Gable in 1930's Gone with the Wind is probably
the most famous 'damn' in all of movie history.Adapted
from Margaret Mitchell's Pulitzer winning novel by the
same name; this epic film sweeps across the Old South,
the Civil War and Reconstruction. It follows the
adventures of the indomitable Scarlett O' Hara played
by Vivien Leigh. Stunningly beautiful and utterly self -
absorbed, Scarlett is the daughter of a plantation owner
and secretly in love with neighboring plantation owner
Ashley Wilkes.Ashley meanwhile is pledged to his lovely
cousin, Melanie. Scarlett finds an admirer in Rhett Butler
- a rakish and slightly disreputable gentleman. Scarlett's
struggle to find love during the chaotic Civil War years
and her doomed relationships make the movie a
timeless, classic tale of love - hate romance. This
quintessential American epic is authentic in all ways
and we can all identify with the war story and its theme
of survival. The most impressive thing about this epic
is that it uses extra screen time to inform us about
the personal lives of its characters. Gone with the Wind
deserves the label - 'epic' - because it presents enough
detail to be a facsimile of reality. It also presents some
rough subject matter without wallowing it. Gable, with
his incomparable charm, makes the character of Rhett
Butler immortal. This richly entertaining movie is a star
- studded, big budget spectacular - an icon of American
film making, and not to be missed.

NATURE

The chirping of birds,

Tells me dawn is near!
Seeing the flowers bloom,
As if bride met her groom!

Oh! How beautiful are the trees,

And the swarming and buzz of bees!
The surroundings filled with an aroma of freshness,
And the cool and pleasant breeze!

The neighbourhood smells drifting away,

And the world filled with silence astray!
Dew drops forming on leaves this dawn,
And the lush green grass on the lawn!

The barking of dogs in a faint distant voice,

Whether I do or do not have a choice!
The soothing effect of Nature to me,
Is God's wonderful creation, to see!

Oh! How beautiful Nature is?

I'd like to see it the way it is!
So stop cutting of trees,
And killing of the bees..
