(Addition) The requirements stated herein are supplementary to the data listed on the
Data Sheet(s).

1.3 Alternative Design Proposals

1.4 ASME Code Requirements

1.5 National Board Registration

(Modification) National Board registration of heat exchangers stamped with the Code “U”
{“U2”} symbol is required unless such requirement is waived by the Owner.

1.6 Jurisdictional Compliance

1.7 Units of Measurement

(Substitution) Metric (SI) units shall be regarded as primary; US customary (English)

units may be included for reference and, if included, shall be shown in parentheses next
to the primary SI units.

1.8 (New) Manufacturer’s Guarantees

Heat exchangers shall be guaranteed by the Manufacturer against defective design,

material, and workmanship in accordance with the terms of the Purchase Order. In
addition, the Manufacturer shall guarantee the performance of the heat exchangers with
regard to heat duty and pressure drop in accordance with the process conditions on the
individual Data Sheets. Upon satisfactory proof that the exchangers furnished do not
meet the specified operating conditions, the Manufacturer shall furnish FOB to the point
of use any necessary additional equipment to meet the specified conditions, or make
changes, as required, to the original equipment furnished, per Owner approval. When
the thermal sizing is furnished by the Owner, the Manufacturer shall verify the sizing and
provide a thermal guarantee.
