2. Illustrate the different parts of a polygon.
3. State the different classifications of a polygon.
4. Determine the sum of the measures of the interior and exterior angles
of a convex polygon.

II. Subject Matter

Reference: DepEd K-12 Learning Module
Materials: visual aids, video presentation, PowerPoint presentation
Values: Critical Thinking, Active Participation, Determination,
Patience, Creativity, Time Management

III. Procedure
A. Daily Activities

B. Review
Teacher will ask students for the previous topic that was
discussed.
C. Motivation
“Shape Counting Puzzles”
-Teacher will present different figures.
-Students will answer the questions about how many shapes do
they see.

D. Discussion

We first define the term polygon. The worksheet below will help us formulate a
definition of a polygon.

Definition of a Polygon
E. Valuing ( Connecting polygons to real life application)
“Take a Polygon Round”
-Ask the students to take a look around the place where they are, where they
live and where they use to be. Then ask them the polygons they’ve encountered.
-Let them have a reflection about the importance and role of polygon in
everyone’s life.
IV. Assessment
“PICK-A-WORD”
Direction: (for 3 minutes)
- Students will choose 3 words among the given words.
- At their papers, they will give the descriptions or meaning of the
words they chose.
“Moving Quiz”
Direction: (for 3 minutes)
- Students will be group into 2: Group A and Group B
- They will write their names in the paper/handout provided.
- For Group A:
They will list all the names of their classmates from Group B,
if and only if they are holding a figure that can be classified under
Regular and Irregular Polygon.
- For Group B:
They will list all the names of their classmates from Group A,
if and only if they are holding a figure that can be classified under
Concave and Convex Polygon.
-
V. Assignment

1. Create your own polygon and give a brief description of its symbolism in your
life. Entitled it “My PolyWorld GonSysbolism”
-In a coupon band
