Grade Level: 7 Learning Area: Mathematics Quarter: III Duration: 50 minutes
Learning Area/s Integrated: EsP
Values Improve one’s mathematical ability by actively participating in the teaching- learning
process.
V. Learning Content/s Polygon means many angles. The polygon is composed of at least three coplanar
points. The segments formed by the points are called sides. The points are referred
to as the vertices of the polygon.
A polygon is convex, if none of its diagonal passes through its exterior, otherwise
the polygon is concave.

DISCUSSION PROPER DEFINING
POLYGON
What is polygon?
Polygon – is a closed plane figure formed by fitting together segments end to end with
each segment intersecting exactly two others
- Each line segments is called a side of the polygon and each
endpoint where the sides meet is called the vertex of the
polygon.
What are the types of polygons according to their sides and angles?
4. Elaborate
Test 1. Write POP if the statement is true and CORN if false and
underline the word that makes it false.
Test II. Determine the name, number of sides, vertex, and interior angles of a
polygon. Refer to the illustration below.

2. sides:
3. vertex
