Roneth, please lead the

prayer. In the name of the father, and of
the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
2. Greetings

teacher is talking here in front? Listen attentively teacher.

Very good!

If you want to answer,

what will you do? Raise your hand teacher.

Very good!

What is the most important

rule in this class? Respect one another teacher!

Yes, very good!

Always remember that we

had agreed our rules in this class.
Did you understand class? Yes, teacher!

B. Motivation

Class, l have here different cut-out shapes

that you have to form. Now l want 5 pupils
to come here in front and you have to
paste it on the board. I will give you 2
minutes to do it.

Start now!

C. Presentation

Now class base on the shapes that

you paste and see on the board, do you
already have an idea on what we are going
to discuss this morning? Yes ma’am. We are going to discuss
about Polygons.
Very good!

This morning we are all going to

know about Polygons. And at the end of
the discussion I expect that you can
identify the different Polygons.
Are you ready?

D. Discussion

POLYGON
-are classified and
described by the number of sides and
kinds of angles.

The polygon has two types:

Regular polygon –have

equal angles and sides.

Irregular polygon –don’t

have equal angles and sides.

Now let’s go to the Types of

polygons based on number of sides and
angles.

1. Triangle - the triangle is a

polygon that contains 3 sides and 3
angles. The triangle may a regular polygon Pupil's Activity
or irregular polygon. We can say that
the triangle is regular if this have
equal sides and equal angles and
irregular if the triangle don’t have
equal sides and equal angles.

2. Quadrilateral –is a polygon that

contains 4 sides and 4 angles. This
can be irregular polygon. If the
quadrilateral polygon have equal sides
and angles we can say it a regular
polygon but if don’t have we can say it is
irregular.
Teacher's Activity

3. Pentagon –is a polygon that

contains 5 sides and 5 angles. If you can
see shapes that have 5 angles and sides it
is pentagon. Pentagon can be regular if
have equal sides and angles but it can be
irregular if don’t have equal sides and
angles.

4. Hexagon –is a polygon that

contains 6 sides and 6 angles it can be
regular if the sides and angles are equal
and it can be a irregular if the sides and
angles does not equal.

5. Heptagon –is a polygon that

have a 7 sides and angles. It can be a
regular or irregular polygon. If the
heptagon have equal sides and angles it is
regular but if the angles and sides of
heptagon not equal it is irregular polygon.

6. Octagon –is a polygon that have

8 sides and angles. It can be regular or
irregular polygon. We can say it is regular
polygon if the sides and angles are equal
and irregular if the sides and angles are
not equal.

7. Nonagon- -is a polygon that have

9 sides and angles. It is regular polygon if
the sides and angles are equal and Cooperate with the group teacher.
irregular if the sides and angles are not
equal.
Yes, teacher!
8. Decagon –the decagon had 10
sides and 10 angles. Pupil's Activity

E. Application

Now l will group you into 2 groups. I

have here a manila paper and pentel pen.
In your group you are going to draw at
least 2 polygons . Give the names of the
polygons the number of sides and angles.
Then choose a leader in your group to
report your work in front of the class.

What are you doing to do if we

have a group activity?

Very good!

Did you understand class?

F. Generalization

1. What is polygon? The polygon are describes and

angles.

had?

3. How many angles the pentagon 5 angles

had?

4. How many sides the nonagon 9 sides
