YOU’RE DEAD
 “Bang Bang You’re Dead’ is a 2002 hollywood movie directed by Guy Ferland. It is a

crime thriller drama film that is based on the theatrical play “Bang Bang You’re Dead’. This film

is a story of a troubled-boy named Trevor Adams who is always picked and bullied on his school

the Riverdale High School. The bullying in that school is so severe many students become

depressed and violent. The protagonist Trevor cannot take anymore bullying that he setup a

bomb-scare to the high school football team to revenge and to scare after all what football team

bullied every student in their school as well as to remind every bullied to their mind that it was

scared and nobody bullied along cafeteria. Because of this, everybody as well as his parents

scared of him and his fellow students avoided him and calling him the mad bomber. The

community is not happy of what Trevor did even his parents and their business affected to his

action that actually his entire personality judged of what he did. His parents did not trust him

anymore and they always fight when he is around that Trevor become more delinquent of his

action because what his family portrayed him as a murder and one night his parents scared of

him what possibility Trevor did something of his parents that they locked their room and check

the gun of his father as her mother told. Because of Trevor action, the school implemented to

place a metal detector to avoid another life threatened incident and their school principal

everyone is avoiding Trevor except the group “Trogs”. They are the group who seek to revenge

of the jock’s wrongdoing. When the jocks bullied them, they fought back until the fight become

worse. They usually go to the forest to “manage their anger”. They manage their anger by

shooting bottles with illegal guns and wrecking old cars. Trevor sees himself to fit on that group

so he joined them.

Mr. Val Duncan is Trevor’s film teacher who invited him to be a role actor in the play “Bang

Bang You’re Dead”. Mr. Duncan thinks that this play will help Trevor to explore the feelings of
what are the common and difference to the character that he will be playing named Josh. In the

first place, Trevor is not interested on accepting the role for the play but he changed his mind

when he met his special friend Jenny. Mr. Duncan assigned his class to create a film whatever in

their mind. Trevor created a film that has a message to threat against the football player Brad.

Mr. Duncan sees this film that Trevor created that he needs help and guidance. He reported the

video to the school. This triggered to have an investigation and a forum about Mr. Trevor.

Because of the video that Trevor made, the school faculty fined their lacking of observation of

the students of their school. For me, Mr. Duncan help Trevor live productive and meaningful

student life because thanks to him to inviting Trevor to the play. The play helps Trevor to keep

him of doing bad actions. And Mr. Duncan is the only one who has a care for him.

Theatrical Play portrayed is not all about the grades of the students being straggled but the

people who are surrounded by yourself during a high school a life. Every students trying to fit

themselves to their peer or classmates to achieve a good relationship but some of the students

trying to bullied someone by his/her personality or even being called nerd, retarded, ugly, etc.

but the result instead of good relationship this even worse because of the social structures of

every students are different. Being a son who have a high expectation of parents by doing like

this, that and those. It portrayed his trying to do his job as a good son but the expectation of

parents is not something what he want. He want to kill his parents but don’t want to die it means

he want forget the problem but not on that way. It portrayed on what a children become

delinquency is because of lack of support by their parents, as well as their schoolmate who

bullied him that they want to revenge , as a result they become delinquent.
