Drug War: Against the Human Rights

Today, the Philippines is now facing the problem about drugs. When President Duterte was
elected, his first move was to limit drugs addicts and users in the country. But the way he did was to
against the human rights. President Rodrigo Duterte’s violent war on drugs within the Philippines in the
midst of allegations of extrajudicial killings, upheld vanishings and violations against humanity. One
example of this is in June, a three-year-old young lady got to be the most youthful casualty of the war on
drugs after she was shot within the head amid a drugs attack on her domestic. They say that the
extrajudicial killings was focused on poor urban places.
For me, the way our president implement the extrajudicial killings was not appropriate because
are some innocent people were killed. People kill other people and he/she will say that the person they kill
is a drug dealer even it is not. Philippine society faces other issues of more prominent moment and need
that require more thorough and saner consideration, than what Duterte has as of now misused chasing
after an overstated pretense, his individual war against drugs. The murdering spree is without a doubt by
and by motivated by this President.
The family that was affected by the drug war were begging for justice for their dead family
member or relatives. Drug war was very sensitive that they kill a person or a family. There should be a
nice way of arresting the drug users and dealer, not killing them but arresting them and straight to jail or
by counseling them. For those drug dealers and users, they should follow the rule to have a peaceful
country and to avoid killings. This is not good also because most teenagers are involved. The police also
are one of the drug users and dealers but other police don’t notice it but there are some who are arrested
and some are not. Not only the police but also the other officials such as barangay captain, mayor
senators, etc. Other are killed and arrested but others are not. But because of money they were saved.
Other officials that were killed were accused to be the drug lord.
President Rodrigo Duterte’s drug war was quite good but it was against the human rights. It is
good because the drug users and dealers were decreasing but other drug users and dealers were continuing
to use and abuse drugs. Until now, extrajudicial killings are still continuing because even the drug dealers
and users are decreasing, there are still many unknown users in the Philippines that were not arrested.
