15 minutes daily is compulsory, the more time given to these studies, the better it is for you.
Arabic is easy, yet difficult! Easy when dedicated, difficult when not!

In this lesson Surah Quraish was discussed and the following rules were explained:

GR#10: Trilateral Verbs - 3 Primary Letters

‫ُم‬
The scale of trilateral verbs (‫ )ثال ِث‬comprises of the 3 primary letters

‫ل‬ ‫ع‬ ‫ف‬

‫َك َمة‬
ِ ‫َلم‬ ‫َك َمة‬
ِ ‫عي‬ ‫َك َمة‬
ِ ‫فاء‬

‫م‬ ْ‫م‬ ‫م‬

It is important to properly understand the above concept of ‫فاء‬, ‫ عي‬and ‫ َلم‬kalimah as it will be

َ‫ – َك َس‬He Broke it
referred to frequently.

e.g. ‫س‬ ‫ – ِان‬It broke

‫فعل‬ ‫فعل‬
َْ َ
 The additional letters are extra(‫)زائِدة‬

e.g.
َ‫ – َغ َفر‬He forgave َْ ْ
‫ – ِاستَغف َر‬He sought forgiveness

‫فعل‬ ‫فعل‬
ْ‫م م‬
 The additional letters are extra(‫)زائ ِدة‬
 As time progresses, the ability to identify the primary letters from the extra letters is important,
because the dictionary will only have the original or primary letters but not the extra letters.
