Project guidelines for Contemporary Issues in Business

Select a SME of your own choice and develop a brand out of it.

Projects content

The purpose of the term project is take a small and medium enterprise and develop a brand out of it ,
turn it from a commodity into a brand that can be appealing and command premium price . The project
is going to focus how these business can benefit from branding. The project is going to consist of
following chapters.

1.Literature Review (1500-3000 words)

● Conduct literature review on branding of small and medium enterprises in Pakistan.


● Go to google scholar and look up for research journals on branding, brand equity, brand
loyalty,smes etc.

2. Fieldwork (at least 750 words)

● Once the literature review is done the second step is conduct fieldwork for the purpose of data
collection. Data collection can be done through various data collection techniques like
observation, in-depth interviews, focus group discussion, and surveys.

3. Findings (at least 1000 words)

● In this chapter present your findings based on data collected. The findings have to be useful
and interesting.

4. Recommendation and conclusion (500 words)

Important note:

Projects are going to be graded on following dimensions

1. Originality

2. in depth analysis

3. Includes stats and figures

4. Has to be interesting and capture the attention of audience

5. Has to be useful for business decision maker

6. Findings of project has potential to turn the project into entrepreneurial venture

7. Projects that will rely on second hand information will get lowers grades

8. Plagiarized projects will not be graded
