Gender Based Violence (GBV) is any act that is perpetrated against the person’s will and is based
on gender.During my past experiences while providing the services, I have noticed and
responded to these GBVs:
 Forced marriage
 Child marriage
 Domestic violence
 Rape
 Marital rape
 Gender discrimination
 Sexual Assault

2. COVID 19 has no doubt affected the lives of each and every individual. People have been
struggling to cope up with the pandemic. It has caused hindrances in aspects of lives. Likewise,
programmes and projects has been having a hard time communicating with their beneficiaries in
person as a result of disease’s nature being communicable. The situation is quite tricky and
difficult as to help the needy. The only way possible at the moment is through
telecommunications being phone call or the internet. As to the country’s context, getting touch
with the internet is always not possible. So, phone call is the only solution in this case. But it is
not deniable that we being a non-state actor could always tie up with ministry of
communication and information technology to provide the needy beneficiaries with internet or
phone call packages. So, that the vulnerable and beneficiaries could get access to the
information. Also, radio announcements or jingles related to project could be played and
circulated in local radio stations so that everyone is well informed and no one is left behind. I
have a similar experience during the Terai Flood-2017 where messages and information were
circulated via local radio stations in Rautahat district about relief distributions that were to be
scheduled throughout the post disaster.
