A combination of chemically resistant epoxy-polyamide resin and rust inhibitive pigments. It is highly
recommended as a protective primer in extremely corrosive atmosphere

Mixing Direction : Mix as supplied in the ratio of 3 parts by volume DAVIES Epoxy
Primer Base to 1 part by volume DAVIES Epoxy Primer
Catalyst. Allow 10 minutes induction time before application.

Pot Life @ 28°C : 8 – 16 hours

Reduction : For spray application, reduce with 1 liter of DAVIES 95 Epoxy


Reducer per 4 liters of paint. For brush application, use as is.

BOYSEN® Red Oxide Primer #310
DESCRIPTION: BOYSEN® Red Oxide Primer
#310 is a rust inhibiting primer for steel and
iron surfaces. It is particularly good for metal
shops who deliver metal products coated with
a shop primer to protect them from rust
corrosion until such time as they are finished
with desired topcoat.

PRINCIPAL USES: As a primer for exterior


and interior steel.

PRACTICAL COVERAGE: 25 - 30 square


meter /4 liters /coat

DRY FILM THICKNESS: 1.5 mils/coat

SURFACE DRY: Two hours

DRY THROUGH: 5-6 hours

OVERCOATING INTERVAL: 8 hours to


overnight

THINNING: Use BOYSEN® Paint Thinner


#0340 if necessary

SURFACE PREPARATION:

Wipe the metal surface with rag soaked in paint thinner to remove dust, dirt, grease, oil, wax  and other
foreign matter. For new G.I. sheets, etch the surface by applying 10% BOYSEN ® Metal Etching
Solution #71 (dilute 1 part of B-71 to 9 parts water).

If repainting, wire brush or scrape rusted metals and apply BOYSEN ® Metal Etching Solution #71 to
remove all rust. Let it stay for 10-15 minutes. Be sure to wash off surface thoroughly with water, letting
it dry before applying paint. Prime immediately after drying.

PAINTING SCHEDULE:

1st Coat: BOYSEN® Metal Primer Red Oxide #310 


2nd & 3rd Coat:    BOYSEN® Quick Dry Enamel (any desired color)
BOYSEN® Quick Drying Enamel
DESCRIPTION: BOYSEN® Quick Drying Enamel is
an alkyd type paint that provides great durability
while being noted as a fast drying paint. It is
formulated to give a tough, durable, beautiful and
high build film on wood and metal. Its superior
hiding, combined with an exceptionally high gloss
level, leads to an excellent, long-lasting finished
appearance.

PRINCIPAL USES: Superior for exterior and interior


wood and metal surfaces.

PRACTICAL COVERAGE: 20 - 25 square meter /4


liters /coat

DRY FILM THICKNESS: 1.5 mils/coat

SURFACE DRY: Five (5) hours maximum

DRY THROUGH: Two (2) hours

OVERCOATING INTERVAL: Allow eight (8) hours

THINNING: Use BOYSEN® Paint Thinner #0340 if


necessary

APPLICATION: By brush or roller

PACKAGING: 16-liter (white only), 4-liter, 1-liter and


¼-liter can

COLORANTS: Use only BOYSEN® Oil Tinting


Colors for tinting to achieve pastel shades. To
produce dark shades, use factory mixed color. Do
not use Prussian Blue B-2304, Hansa Yellow   B-
2319, and Bulletin Red B-2315 for exterior
application.
SURFACE PREPARATION:

Wood - Surface to be painted should be clean and dry, free from dust, dirt and other foreign matter.
Hammer all nails deep enough to apply putty. Sand rough wood until smooth, then dust off before
painting.

If repainting, first remove all blistering, peeling and scaling paint by wire brushing or BOYSEN ® Paint
and Varnish Remover #141. Clean thoroughly prior to painting.

BOYSEN® Permacoat™ Latex
DESCRIPTION: BOYSEN® Permacoat™ Latex Paint
is a 100% acrylic latex paint with excellent hiding,
durability and dirt pick-up resistance. It finishes
painting jobs in less coats, yet lasts longer than
other brands allowing you to save a lot on time,
effort, worry and money. 

PRINCIPAL USES: For interior and exterior such as


concrete, stucco, bricks plaster, hollow blocks,
drywall surfaces, and properly primed wood.

PRACTICAL COVERAGE: 25-30 square meter / 4


liters / coat

SURFACE DRY: Thirty (30) minutes

DRY THROUGH: Two (2) hours

DRY FILM THICKNESS: 1-1.5 mils/coat


OVERCOATING INTERVAL: Allow one hour before
recoating.

THINNING: Use as supplied. If necessary, thin with


not more than ½ liter of water per 4-liter can

APPLICATION: paint brush, roller or airless spray.

COLORANTS: Use only BOYSEN® Latex Colors for


tinting to achieve pastel shades. To produce dark
shades, use factory or Mix and Match™ pre-mixed
colors. Do not use Hansa Yellow B-1466 and
Toluidine Red B1407 for exterior applications.

BOYSEN® Permacoat™ is a 100% acrylic latex paint

resistance. It finishes painting jobs in less coats, yet

COVERAGE:   15 to 18 square meters per 4 liters

THINNING:   Use as supplied. If necessary, thin with


not more than ½ liter of clean water per 4-liter can.

TINTING:   Use only BOYSEN® Latex Colors to


achieve pastel
shades. Factory premixed colors is recommended
especially when preparing darker shades.

SURFACE PRAPARATION:
1. Remove all loose, scaling, flaking, and peeling off paint by wire brushing, scraping, or rough sanding. 

2. When necessary, use BOYSEN® Paint and Varnish Remover #141 but make sure that residue is completely
washed off from the surface to prevent adverse reactions with succeeding coats. Let it dry. 

3. Sand smooth painted surfaces for improved inter-coat adhesion. 

4. For chalking old latex paint, apply one (1) coats of BOYSEN® Chalk  Blocker #7304. Let dry overnight. 

5. In case of mildew infestation, treat affected areas with a fungicidal wash solution or household bleach mixed
with water (1:3, respectively). Let the treatment stay overnight before wiping off residue with damp cloth. Let
dry.

PAINT APPLICATION:
1. Prime bare substrate with BOYSEN® Permacoat™ Latex Flat #701. Let dry for one (1) hour.
2. Putty minor surface imperfections with BOYSEN® Acrytex™ Cast #1711. Let dry for one (1) hour. Spot prime
puttied portions.

3. Spray BOYSEN® Acrytex™ Cast #1711 by mortar gun for texture. Let dry for one (1) hour. Spot prime
puttied and textured portions.

4. Finish with two (2) coats of BOYSEN® Permacoat™ Latex* to your desired premixed shade. Let dry for one
(1) hour in between coats.

BOYSEN® Acrytex™ Tinting Colors


DESCRIPTION: BOYSEN® Acrytex™ Tinting
Colors are concentrated acrylic solvent based
tinting colorants for BOYSEN® Acrytex™ Products.
They disperse easily and produce tints from pastel
to medium shades with even finishes.

PACKAGING: 1/4 liter cans

NOTE: To produce dark shades, choose from


factory mixed colors or intermix premixed colors to
get desired shade. Ideal tinting color-to-paint ratio
is 1:16, respectively.

BOYSEN® Masonry
Neutralizer #44
DESCRIPTION: BOYSEN® Masonry
Neutralizer #44 is a liquid acidic
substance that is to be mixed with water
to neutralize lime activity in new
masonry surfaces.

COVERAGE: 20 sq.m./gallon of
mixture
APPLICATION: paint brush or roller

PACKAGING: 3.785 liter, 946.25 ml,


and 473.12 ml bottles

MIXING RATIO: 1 part BOYSEN® Masonry Neutralizer #44 to 16 parts clean water

PAINTING SCHEDULE:

1st step: Remove oil and grease by detergent cleaning.


2nd step: Apply diluted BOYSEN® Masonry Neutralizer and let stand overnight
3rd step: Rough sand surface to remove efflorescence salts

Caution: Adequate protection and ventilation should be provided when working with acids.
