CHECKLIST FOR PCC BELOW FOOTINGS

1 Take the approval of structural designer for strata.

Make sure that the centre of footing marked on the excavated pit is as per checked centre line. Check the orientation of the

footing.
3 Make sure that all loose material of excavated surface is cleaned.
4 Check the level of the adjucent footing pits and make sure that angle of repose ( 45 degree) is maintained.
5 If the surface of the pit is uneven , do plum concrete (not exceeding 1ft depth) to avoid excessive depth of PCC.
6 Check the size & right angle of the PCC shuttering box.
7 If water table is high , dewatering should be carried out.
8 Check the grade of concrete given by structural designer.
9 Level the top surface of the PCC.
10 Curing of PCC should be done for 7 to 10 days.
