1.1 Summarye of Current Month’s Progress
Summary of Progress – Up to 30 April 2020
Total Length of the project is 38.809 Km from Chainage Km 43+400 to Km 82+209 with
total cost of Rs.356.62 Crores. Appointed Date was 11/03/2017 and scheduled date of completion
of construction as per submitted revised work programe is 31.12.2021.
Cumulative physical progress is 13.55%. Total completion of Cleaning & Grubbing is 22.700 km.,
Sub-grade 7.950 Km GSB 7.265 Km., DLC 6.820 Km, PQC 4.795 Km completed. Total Culverts
36 no’s out of that 27 no’s completed and 07 culverts are in progress and 2 No’s (1 Box, 1 Pipe)
are yet to start. 2 VUP Completed, 3 LVUP Completed, Minor Bridges 2 out of 6 no’s are
Completed and 2 no. in-progress, Service road Construction are yet to start. Major Bridges 3 No’s
are work yet to be start. ROB at 50+615 GAD approved. Revised Structural Drawing and Design
Calculations are yet to be submitted by EPC Contractor. ROB at 67+126 GAD approved, Design
and Drawing of Substructures and Superstructures are yet to be submitted to Railway Authority.
Tree cutting of 3224 completed and 424 Balance trees to be cut. During this month sub grade
preparation starts from Ch. 48+700 to 49+800 LHS.
Repair & Maintenance of Existing Highway
In view of the road users and upcoming monsoon, the repair & maintenance work of
existing project highway has been carryout by epc contractor, however till end of this month epc
contractor did not put any efforts to starts the safety & maintenance of the existing project
highway.

1.2 Critical Issues and Action Log


1. EPC Contractor has failed to do the Maintenance work of existing Project Highway as per
Cl.10.4 of the Contract Agreement. Till date, in spite of repeated instructions from Authority
Engineer/Authority, EPC Contractor not attends the filling of Potholes and Safety Maintenance of
the existing Project Highway. Hence the repair and maintenance work of existing project highways
works were awarded to M/s Alok Buildtech Pvt. Ltd., by NHAI at the Risk & Cost of Contractor
on 01.05.2019.
2. Regarding Utility Shifting the two estimates of utility shifting of Electrical already
approved by Authority. Shifting of Electrical line from 70+500 to 82+209 completed and from
43+400 to 70+500 in last ten months shifting of electrical line is stopped by the Contractor.
3. Regarding PHED pipe line shifting the Authority had informed the PHED on 31.03.2017
regarding deposit of supervision charges. In this letter already mentioned that the work shall be
executed by the Contractor with the supervision of PHED. Till date there is no action from EPC
Contractor.

2.1 Project Milestone-I
Project Milestone-I shall occur on the date falling on the 180th (One hundred and
eightieth) day from the Appointed Date (the “Project Milestone-I”) i.e. 07th Sep. 2017.
Prior to the occurrence of Project Milestone-I, the Contractor shall have commenced
construction of the Project Highway and submitted to the Authority duly and validly prepared
Stage Payment Statements for an amount not less than 10% (ten per cent) of the Contract Price.
Milestone-I Achieved on 31.05.2018.

2.2 Project Milestone-II


Project Milestone-II shall occur on the date falling on the 365th (three hundred and sixty
fifth) day from the Appointed Date (the “Project Milestone-II”) i.e. 11th March 2018.
Prior to the occurrence of Project Milestone-II, the Contractor shall have continued with
construction of the Project Highway and submitted to the Authority duly and validly prepared
Stage Payment Statements for an amount not less than 30% (thirty per cent) of the Contract Price.
Project Milestone-II not achieved.
2.3 Project Milestone-Ill
Project Milestone-Ill shall occur on the date falling on the 600th (six hundred) day from
the Appointed Date (the “Project Milestone-Ill”) i.e. 1st November 2018.
Prior to the occurrence of Project Milestone-III, the Contractor shall have continued with
construction of the Project Highway and submitted to the Authority duly and validly prepared
Stage Payment Statements for an amount not less than 70% (seventy per cent) of the Contract
Price. Project Milestone-III not achieved.
2.4 Scheduled Completion Date
The Scheduled Completion Date shall be the 730th (seven hundred and thirtieth) day from
the Appointed Date i.e. 11th March 2019.
On or before the Scheduled Completion Date, the Contractor shall have completed the
Project in accordance with this Agreement.
