Reading comprehension:
Last December, my family and I went to Santander. My grandparents came with us and all the family had a great time.
We stayed at a farm that my uncle Juan rented in San Gil, next to the Pienta river. It was a great house, comfortable,
with enough rooms for all. My parents, grandparents and uncles stayed in the bigger bedrooms, but my cousins and I
slept in hammocks in the entrance, next to the living room, because the weather was nice and warm, and we were
happy to share the night. For this reason, we didn’t sleep some nights, and my uncle Pedro was furious with us.
In the morning, after breakfast, we went to swim in the river and we practiced some water sports next to the caves. We
also went hiking to el Paramo with my aunt Patricia. One day, my father took me and Daniela to do rappel. Other day, all
the cousins and uncles went mountain biking in Sotomayor, a municipality next to Piedecuesta. My auntie Luisa was sick,
so grandparents and my auntie Maria stayed with her in the farm, gathering fruit, milking the cows and chatting.
And in the afternoon, we also went horse riding together, or we went sightseeing to the towns, and visited some
churches and parks in the urban areas with our grannie and grandpa.
What I enjoyed most was that, every night, we usually told stories and ate marshmallows, envueltos and bocadillo, that
my grandma prepared, to pamper her grandchildren. We had aguadepanela with cuajada, very early in the dusk. I
thought I would suffer without my cell phone, but I had a great time all my vacations.
