GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

a. See next page for the copy of the template/format of the laboratory report.
b. Answers to questions and solution to problem part is not included in the lab report.
c. Text should be typed single-spaced on one side of the paper only. Do not exceed the dimensions given in
this format. Insert one return between paragraphs. The main body text should be typed justified with
indents.

d. The length of laboratory report is limited to maximum of 3 pages (the title page and the data sheet not
included).

e. Equations will be centered with a number flush against the right margin as in equation (1):
Xm
θc =
( ΔX / Δt )m (1)

The above equation would be denoted as "equation (1)" wherever it is referred to.

f. Samples of a table are shown in Table 1. Figures and tables should appear in numerical order, be
described in the body of the text and be positioned close to where they are first cited. These figure and
table would be denoted as "Figure 1" and "Table 1".

Introduction
All paragraphs are indented and justified [11pt Times New Roman].
Please keep the report to be no more than three pages with figures, photos, tables and references.
Introduction section should clearly state the background and the objectives of the experriment.

Materials and Methods

Please give a brief description of the materials and methods used in the experiment. Attach at least 4 photos with

Results and Discussion

Provide a summary and discussion of results to support the conclusions.
Table 1 This is a style for Table Titles. “Table 1, 2, etc.” should be in bold. Table captions should appear above
tables. The table is not necessarily similar from the lab manual.

Graph 1 This is a style for Figure legends. “Figure 1, 2, etc.” should be in bold. Figure legends should appear below
figures.

Conclusions
Please summarize the major results obtained and give a brief explanation of the significance and implications of the
work.
