Title Standard Operating Procedure for digital thermo meter operation

1.0 Purpose:
To give guide lines for usage of digital thermo meter.

2.0 Scope:
Applies to digital thermo meter

3.0 Responsibility:
HOS Operation and Process Engineer, is responsible for implementation of this SOP.

5.0 Procedure
 Clean the Thermocouple with waste cloth.

 Connect the Plug of thermocouple with the digital thermometer.

 Switch on the thermometer and ensure that temperature is matching atmospheric

temperature. (if it not matching reverse the plug and check once again)

 Insert the thermocouple into the measuring port.

 Close the exposed portion of measuring port with waste cloth or gloves to avoid external
air entry and to provide undisturbed measuring conditions.

 Wait for one minute and start observing the measured digital data in the thermometer.

 Note down the data after attaining equilibrium value.

1. Calibrate the equipment before due date of calibration

2. Un authorized not allow to use this equipment
3. Calculate the service life equipment for procurement
4. Avoid the Idle use of equipment
