Title Standard Operating Procedure for anemometer operation

1.0 Purpose:
To give guide lines for usage of anemometer.

2.0 Scope:
Applies to anemometer

3.0 Responsibility:
HOS Operation and Process Engineer, is responsible for implementation of this SOP.

4.0 Procedure

Note: Anemometer is used for forced draft system where inlet is open to atmosphere for air
suction.

 Switch on the anemometer and check the wheel is moving freely by gently blowing the
air

 Ensure the digital value is zero

 Keep the anemometer in front of the flow source i.e. fan inlet over the mesh.

 Don’t keep anemometer outside the duct or far away.

Note the measured reading by keeping the anemometer fan at different position in the ducts.
EnMS;

1. Calibrate the equipment before due date of calibration

2. Un authorized not allow to use this equipment
3. Calculate the service life equipment for procurement
4. Avoid the Idle use of equipment
