Calamba City, Philippines – Spearheading a Philippine first, Coca-Cola FEMSA

Philippines inaugurated the expansion of its Canlubang Manufacturing Facility

which now houses three new PET lines, the fastest in the world.

Apart from the installation of three new PET lines, the expansion project also
involves the expansion of the water treatment facility, construction of an
additional nine trucking bays, syrup room expansion, and construction of resin
injection operation area. The expansion covers 3.30 hectares.

The three new lines that were installed are considered to be the fastest bottling
lines in the world, utilizing the most technologically-advanced German and
Italian technology in beverage manufacturing.

The Coca-Cola FEMSA Philippines Canlubang Plant now has a total of nine
bottling lines. This brings total annual capacity of this plant to 265 million
physical cases from a previous annual capacity of 170 million.

This is part of the committed investment of US$1 billion made by the Coca-Cola
System.

“When we established our operations in the Philippines in January 2013,

following the acquisition of what was then Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines in an

reach to other underserved communities in the country, we will continue to
explore expansion opportunities,” said Juan Dominguez, Corporate Affairs

In just under two years, the company has made significant progress in transforming
