General Advisory:
As per weather forecast good amount of rainfall is expected in the next few days, hence farmers are
advised to collect rain water in medium and lowland to transplant rice immediately and maintain the
drainage system in all the field crops/vegetables except rice. In rainy season spray any type of pesticide
during clear weather and mix Tipol or Sandovit in the solution @ 5ml. per 10 litre of solution. In
absence of these chemicals prepare the solution in soap water. This practise makes the solutio

Farmers whose seedlings are of 10-15 days should apply 2 kg urea per 100 square
meters of the nursery for good growth. Farmers whose seedlings are of 20 days and
the fields are flooded with water, are advised to start the transplanting immediately.
The paddy fields where water stagnation is not sufficient for puddling,bunds should
be maintained and channels must be cut from the upper fields so that water flows
down and gets stored during the upcoming rainy days. Long duration varieties of
paddy should be transplanted in Don-1 and medium duration varieties should be
planted in Don-2. Flood the nursery while uprooting the plants from the paddy

Recommended varieties of Urd are Birsa Urad-1, W.B.U.-109, Pant U-31.12 kg of
seeds are required for the cultivation in one acre. For active weed management in the
crop spray the herbicide Pendimethalin @ 1 litre in 800 litres of water after 48 hours
and Quizilophop @ 2 ml. per litre after 20-25 days after sowing.

बोवाई के 48 घ टे बाद छड़काव कर तथा 20-25 दन बाद दवा वीिज़लोफोप (2 मल ल टर
त ल टर क दर से) का छड़काव कर|
Recommended varieties of Madua are A-404, Birsa Marua-2, Birsa Marua-3,
G.P.U.-28, G.P.U.-67, V.L.-149 etc. 3.5 - 4.0 kg of seeds are required for the
cultivation in one acre.
FINGER

Crop may be suffering from Mosaic virus disease which is mainly caused by
whitefly. Use neem-based insecticides (3000p.p.m) @ 5ml. per litre of water to
control the attack of whiteflies.
OKRA/ LADIES'
FINGER फसल म मोजाइक रोग का कोप दे खा जा रहा है , जो मु यतः सफ़ेद म खी के कारण होता है
अतः इससे बचाव हे तु नीम आधा रत क टनाशक (3000पी.पी.एम.) दवा को 5 मल ल टर

FODDER Farmers may proceed to the cultivation of green fodder of Maize (var.- African tall or
MAIZE J-1006), Lobia (var.-P.C. 4200) or Moth (var.-Vidhaan-1).

Recommended varieties of Groundnut are Birsa Bold, Girnar-3, Birsa groundnut-3
and Birsa groundnut-4. 50 kg grains (seeds) of Birsa Bold variety and 30-35 kg
grains (seeds) of rest varieties are needed for the cultivation in one acre. Existing
weather is conducive to the attack of tikka or leaf spot disease (in which light-yellow
spot appear on leaves and stem, which later on converts into dark brown spotted
circle). Spray fungicide ‘Kavach’ @ 2 gram/litre of water during clear weather as the
symptoms appear.

होती है | ऐसे मौसम म फसल म ट का या प ती का ध बा रोग के आ मण क संभावना
बहुत ह यादा रहती है , िजसमे पि तओं तथा तने पर ह के पीले ध बे बनते ह जो बाद म
गहरे रं ग के वत
ृ ाकार का प ले लेती ह| फसल म इस रोग का ल ण दे खते ह फफंू द नाशी दवा
'कवच' का छड़काव 2 ाम/ल टर पानी क दर से साफ मौसम दे खते हुए कर|
Medium duration variety of the crops like P.M.H.-3, Malviya sankarmakka,
B.A.U.M.H-3, Suwan composite- 1, H.Q.P.M-1, Vinay etc. may be sown for green
cobs and short duration varieties like Birsa maize-1, Birsa Vikas maize-2, Priya,
BAUMH-05, Vivek Sankar makka etc. for grain purpose. After 2 – 3 days of sowing,
spray weedicide Utraziner @ 4 gm per litre of water. Apply 8-10 grains of granular
insecticide Furadon in each leaf sheath of 15-20 days old plant to control the insect
stem borer. In case of too much insect-pest infestation broadcast Ridomil/Mancozeb
@ 2 gm. per litre. Broadcast urea @ 30 kg per acre after 25-30 days old crop after
earthing up.

The crop is being transplanted in the fields and is highly susceptible to bacterial
blight so farmers are advised to prepare their fields in order to protect the crop from
it. For one acre of land 1 kg Trichoderma viridi or Trichodermaharzianum and 1 kg
Pseudomonas is thoroughly mixed with 200 kg of FYM and broadcasted in the field
before sowing.
TOMATO

At this time there are chances of foot and mouth diseases in cattle. To protect the
cattle from this disease animals are to be vaccinated with vaccine (Foot and
mouth disease+Haemorrhagic septicaemia+Black quarter oil adjuvanted vaccine)
@ 3 ml per animal for cattle and 1 ml per animal for goat and swine prohibit the
animals from drinking infected water.

In fallow uplands, farmers are advised to sow pigeon pea (arhar), blackgram
(urad), green gram (moong), finger millet (madua) etc. during favourable
weather condition. In earlier sown crops if germination is not uniform, to
maintain optimum plant population per unit area, fill the gap either by sowing
extra seeds or roughing the extra plants in the field (where the plant population
is extremely dense). Inter-culture operation may be done to control weeds in
field after 15-20 days of sowing and after weeding urea may be broadcasted as
per the crop requirement.
GENERAL ADVICE
