SUCCESS CRITERIA Pupil will be able to
1. list 2 characteristics of excellent citizen
2. write an appreciation card to Dr Amalina of her excellent contribution to
Malaysia.
3. sing and hold Malaysian flag proudly.
ACTIVITIES Pre

1. Teacher shows pictures and instagram page of Dr Amalina Bakri to students and
asks whether they know her background and contributions to the country. Teacher
writes the information given by the pupils on the whiteboard. (Bubble Map)

2. Teacher asks students to sit in groups and discuss on an article entitled ‘After baby
Ainul, Dr Amalina vows to aid others’ .

3. Pupils read text and extract Dr Amalina’s background, Ainul’s condition, challenges
faced by Dr Amalina and helps that she gets. Pupils fill in the blanks with suitable
information.
4. Pupils do Gallery Walk. Teacher checks pupils’ work.
5. Each group writes an appreciation card to Dr Amalina of her excellent contribution
to Malaysia.
6. Teacher posts all the cards to Dr Amalina.

7. Pupils sing ‘Standing in the Eyes of the World’ by Ella in the class while holding
Malaysian flags proudly. Teacher gives token of appreciations to the best card.
