REGISTRATION PROCEDURES FOR DIPLOMA AND BACHELOR


STUDENTS FOR SEMESTER II IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR
2019/2020

STEPS DURING THE REGISTRATION PROCESS FROM 1st JUNE 2020 TO


7TH JUNE 2020

STEP1. CREATING INVOICE AND UPDATING SIMS PROFILE

a. Create your invoice and obtain the control number to determine


the required billed fees for Semester II
b. Make your payment through the University’s Account at NMB
Bank or Tigo-Pesa, Airtel Money or M-Pesa.
c. Do not submit your invoice to the Accounts office for your
receipt rather accountants will access your payments online.
d. Update your SIMS profile information if necessary.

STEP 2. ACCOUNTS OFFICE AND ACCOUNTING PROCEDURES

a. The University’s Accountants shall print students’ registration


forms (invoice) and receipts which shall then be submitted to
the Admission Department for upgrading.
b. Note that students shall not be required to go to the
Accounts office after payments are made for their receipts
rather the invoice and receipts shall be printed and
prepared by the office.

STEP 3. ADMISSION’S DEPARTMENT

The Admission office shall be upgrading students in SIMS to their


respective levels after receiving registration forms from the
Accounts office and their names sent to the respective
departments.
STEP 4. REGISTRATIONS FOR NHIF

Only for students who did not register for NHIF in Semester I
shall have to seek clarification on further steps from the office of
Dean of Students.

STEP 5. SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION FOR PHOTO TAKING AND


IDENTITY CARD

Students who did not take photos in the First Semester shall
send scanned photos and signature through email to the
Systems Administrators for the production of Identity Cards.

STEP 6. CATERING SERVICE REGISTRATION

All students who paid for meals since Semester I shall register
for the same in Semester II under the Catering Officer from the
office of Dean of Students.

STEP 7 ACCOMMODATION SERVICES

All students who paid for in-campus accommodation for


Semester I shall be provided with accommodation.

NOTE: The above outlined procedures for registration of students in the


2nd Semester are devised in such ways that are COVID-19
conscious. Each person involved in the registration process will
have to ensure that he/she is free from any contacts (Social
distancing) to avoid possible contamination of the disease.
