ANSWER SCHEME

Yasmin Yusuf - The Most Promising Leader

A leader is someone who is represented by everyone. It is not easy to earn respect,

especially from one’s peers.
Recently at the Leadership Camp organised by the Leadership Club of our school,
Miss Yasmin Yusuf was voted “The Most Promising Leader”. Yasmin who is 16 years old,
is the eldest in her family. She has a younger brother who is in Form One and a younger
sister who is in Year Five. Her father is a civil engineer while her mother teaches Law at a
university.
At the camp, students were divided into four teams. Yasmin was the group leader
for Team B. The teams had to participate in several activities. Yasmin was a good leader.
She motivated her team members and took on extra works whenever necessary. Her
team members also felt that Yasmin was a very caring leader. One team member was
feeling down as her team had lost in an activity. Yasmin sat with this team member and
cheered her up.
Yasmin was also voted the most helpful at the camp. She not only helped out her
own team members but also helped other team members who needed help. The most
important event of the leadership camp was to organise a campaign to collect money for
charity. All group leaders and their team members worked hard and tirelessly but Yasmin
really stood out. She and her team members came up with an interesting way to raise the
money. They organised a singing competition. They charged the contestants and people
who came to the competition, a fee. It was a great success and everyone enjoyed
themselves.
For her effort, she was given “The Most Promising Leader” award. She received a
Certificate of Achievement and RM800. Yasmin Yusuf is a good leader with great qualities
and a bright future ahead.
