Title of the Article

1. Difficult Concepts
i. The debate surrounding globalization is a large part of its lifeblood.
ii. Globalization is debate, debate is globalization.
iii. Globalization cause and consequences.

2. Insights

i. Before reading the article/understanding the lesson, I thought that the definition of
globalization is simple. However, reading the article/understanding the lesson, I now
think/realize that it’s not just about worldwide economic growth (global economic integration
and transmission of knowledge), but also to its transcultural integration of human and non-
human.

ii. Before reading the article/understanding the lesson, I thought that defining globalization is a
mere work to do so. However, reading the article/understanding the lesson, I now
think/realize that defining globalization isn’t easy because it’s too broad and complex to
define in just few words. There are branches, causes, concept, and consequences that makes it
hard to define.

iii. Before reading the article/understanding the lesson, I thought that globalization has nothing
to do what globalization is. However, reading the article/understanding the lesson, I now
think/realize to truly understand the concept of globalization, it must be defined with the use
of different definitions. Because an author’s perspective of globalization is on where
globalization has come from.

3. Questions
i. How can definition of globalization affects globalization in reality?
ii. Since there are 114 different definition of globalization in this article, is there a method or
steps they used to construct their own definition?
iii. Globalization as global economic growth or global scale competition?
